Installation Instructions:

1. Start by removing the front number from your motorcycle.
2. Carefully cut away the cable ties that hold the start and stop switch cables on the handlebars. Then unscrew the clamps and let them hang freely.
3. Locate the switch connector on the bike. It is often located near the steering head on the chassis, but sometimes it can be under the tank.
4. Disconnect the connector and remove the switch, remembering how the cables are routed for future installation.
5. Clean the connector with a contact cleaner, such as Maxima Electrical Contact Cleaner.
6. Loosely attach the new switch to the handlebars in the desired position.
7. Route the cables according to the old switch and connect the connector.
8. Check that the cables have enough slack by turning the handlebars to full extension and ensure that the cables are not pulled too tight. Adjust if necessary.
9. Reattach the cable ties to keep the cables in place and prevent damage from roost.
10. Reattach the license plate.
